As the snow is falling on this wintery, Sunday morning, I’m getting ready for a busy few weeks ahead. I love to have lots of plans with friends over Christmas and then I usually have a chilled end to the year, preparing for the new one to arrive.
For me, New Year’s Eve is always a bit of an anti-climax. Queuing at bars is not really for me but I do enjoy a nice meal out with my fella and then see where the evening takes us when the clock strikes midnight. Lots of people will be going to parties and I’m sure just as many will be spending it at home, either with a house full of friends and family or just by themselves. I wanted to put together some outfit ideas for a bit of inspiration on what to wear on December 31st, no matter what your plans are.
I’ll cover a:
- Party Outfit
- House Party Outfit
- Stay at Home Outfit
Sparkle is always welcome at a party and this particular French Connection dress has caught my eye a few times on Instagram. The Aurelie has got that hip shaking, ‘give us a twirl’ vibe with a ruffle bottom and a V-neck so you’re not going to get too hot when on the dance floor.
I had a look at it in person in store earlier this week and it’s just gorgeous. A bit pricey but definitely something that can be worn for many Christmas/New Year seasons to come. It’s fully lined and has a concealed zip along the back. With all over embellishment you’re sure to be the belle of the ball!
House Party Outfit
You’ll know by now that I’m a big fan of Marks & Spencer and so I always look to them for gorgeous pieces throughout the year. Look at this beautiful navy, pearl embellished, tiered mesh, A-Line skirt! Tuck in a simple jewel coloured magenta cami from HM and pair it with a pointy court shoe (also from Marks) and you’ll feel a million dollars!
Stay at Home Outfit
If you love to snuggle up in front of the TV and drink fairly priced alcohol in the comfort of your own home, why not treat yourself to some new, cosy loungewear from Next? You buy them as separates so you can make up your own outfit but I’ve gone for a matching Ribbed Velour Joggers and Zip Hoody option in Charcoal.
If you really want to treat yourself, that’s if you don’t usually receive a new pair of slippers at Christmas anyway, these pale pink, moccasin, pompom slippers from Ugg look divine!
I hope you’ve enjoyed these outfit ideas. We have a couple of weeks left until 2018 and I’m hoping it goes as slow as possible if I’m honest. This year is flashing by and we just need to enjoy every single minute of it as best we can. What are your plans for New Year? Let me know by commenting below or chat with me on Instagram or Twitter.
Until next Sunday, take care, Natalie x
