2017 has allowed us to say how we’re feeling straight across our chests! A slogan tee can be picked up in pretty much every store right now, you just have to decide on what message suits you and your personality. Splatter your favourite saying across the front of a t-shirt or sweater and passers by are going to stare and read for a split second, so they’re not really for the shy kind.

Even though it’s just a t-shirt, you can add so much fun to an outfit, a real statement. Here are a few that have caught my eye recently:

  1. Topshop: Merci Mon Cherie

Thankyou Honey! I have this tee in the white version that was released back in the Spring and I really like it in black, more than the white one actually. It’s classy and the white and red keep it quite simple. The three colours allow it to be a cool addition to a Prince of Wales Check suit. I’d pair it with some black, paintent, pointy heels. Boom! Attitude central. A bargain at £16.

2. Topshop: Je t’aime

Ok, so there may be a bit of a theme here. French words just sound so nice though, don’t you agree? This navy t-shirt, for me, definitely has a relaxed feel and so easy to throw on with denim and a chunky knit, long cardigan over the top, probably a nice vibrant red colour! I’ve seen one in Next that would look lovely with it.

3.New Look: Have a nice day

Simple, cute and grey. This will go with any outfit really; smart or casual. It’s not too in your face but at the same time passes a positive message and suggests you’re a friendly approachable kind of girl. It’s only £10 so won’t break the bank.

4. Mango: The Best is Yet to come

Who doesn’t want to believe this? It’s nice to think good times are ahead. This beauty from Mango is a velvet message, a nice touch. I really like it paired with the smart black trousers but again, like all of these tees, it’s very versatile. Another £16 find that I’d like to own.

5. Miss Selfridge: ooh la la

My final fave had to offer a pop of colour and yes, another French slogan. I’d roll the sleeves up on this £14 tee personally and I can imagine it with a light-wash denim skirt.

If anyone can tell me where to find a tee with 1986 on the front, please let me know as I’d really like one. Most fashion labels now have several slogan t-shirts and sweaters available at anyone time; if tou ask me it’s just a result of us becoming more vocal and our willingness to share how we are feeling. Sharing a bit of our personalities through our clothing is fun and probably not a trend that is going anywhere too soon. So jump on the slogan tee bandwagon with me!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog. I’d love to hear if you end up buying any of them for yourself.

Until next week, take care.
